The ATI520CTK Portable Cable Terminal Pull Tester Kit is engineered for proof testing swaged cable terminals in accordance with MIL-DTL-83420 specifications. It accommodates carbon steel wire rope cable sizes 1/16" (288 lbs), 3/32" (552 lbs), 1/8" (1,200 lbs), 5/32" (1,680 lbs), 3/16" (2,520 lbs), 7/32" (3,360 lbs), and 1/4" (4,200 lbs), ensuring precise and reliable tensile testing performance. This self-contained hydraulic unit applies load through a direct-reading pressure gauge calibrated in pounds tension, with red pin-stripe markers for each cable size at 60% of rated tensile strength.

This kit includes all the required tools and accessories for field and shop-based pull-testing operations, such as:

  • Copper Jaws (ATI520CTD-2 through ATI520CTD-8) for all supported cable diameters

  • Terminal Adapters for ball end, threaded, and pin terminals (ATI520CTS, ATI520CTT, and ATI520CTF series)

  • Knurled Head Pins (ATI520CTP series)

  • Vise assembly with steel holders and copper inserts for secure gripping

  • T-Handle Socket Wrench, cinch block, and gauge assembly

The tester operates via a durable hydraulic cylinder system and uses MIL-H-5606 hydraulic oil for consistent performance in demanding environments. It is lightweight, portable, and built for aerospace, defense, and industrial applications where accurate cable terminal proof testing is essential.

Included Gauge:
This unit comes with a glycerin-filled McDaniel Controls gauge (0-15,000 psi) for clear, accurate readings. The gauge is professionally calibrated, and calibration documentation is included with your purchase for traceability and quality assurance.
