The Glenair 600-058 / BAND-IT® A40199 Tie-Dex II® Banding Tool is a precision manual banding tool engineered for the installation of standard-width EMI/RFI shield termination bands used in aerospace, military, and high-performance electrical harness assemblies. Designed for consistent shield grounding and strain relief applications, the tool delivers controlled tensioning and reliable cut-off performance for repeatable cable shield terminations.

The Glenair 600-058 corresponds directly to the BAND-IT® A40199 Tie-Dex II® tool and is specifically designed for use with .240-inch wide standard Tie-Dex® bands. The tool should only be used with genuine Glenair / BAND-IT® bands to ensure proper operation and to prevent premature tool wear or damage.

This aerospace-qualified hand tool features a controlled tensioning mechanism that allows the operator to gradually compress the band using short, even strokes until the handle locks into position, indicating proper band tension has been achieved. The integrated cut-off lever simultaneously locks the buckle and trims excess band material, producing a clean, secure shield termination.
