The Glenair 600-061 / BAND-IT® A30199 Tie-Dex II® Micro Banding Tool is a precision manual banding tool engineered for the installation of micro-width EMI/RFI shield termination bands used in aerospace, military, avionics, and high-performance electrical harness assemblies. Designed for reliable shield grounding and cable retention applications, the tool provides controlled band tensioning and clean cut-off performance for repeatable high-quality terminations.

The Glenair 600-061 corresponds directly to the BAND-IT® A30199 Tie-Dex II® Micro Banding Tool and is specifically designed for use with .120-inch wide micro Tie-Dex® bands, commonly referred to throughout the aerospace industry as 1/8-inch bands. The tool should only be used with genuine Glenair / BAND-IT® bands to ensure proper operation and prevent premature tool wear or damage.

This aerospace-grade hand tool utilizes a controlled tensioning mechanism that allows the operator to progressively tighten the band using short, even strokes until calibrated tension is achieved. Once tensioned, the integrated cut-off lever simultaneously locks the buckle and trims excess band material, producing a secure and professional shield termination.

The 600-061 / A30199 is widely recognized as a 1/8-inch banding tool for compact EMI shield termination applications and is commonly used in aircraft harness manufacturing, military electronics, M85049 backshell shield terminations, defense systems, motorsports wiring, and other mission-critical cable assembly applications where compact shield termination solutions are required.
